A New Era

We're kicking off a new chapter at TEAKLE Wines, and I couldn’t be prouder to share it with you.

This project was something my dad, Peter, and I worked on together before he unexpectedly passed away last year. It was always part of our plan, continuing to evolve while staying true to what makes our wines and our region so special.

Our name now reflects not just where we’ve come from but where we’re headed. The focus remains the same: crafting wines that speak of the Eyre Peninsula, pushing boundaries, and ensuring every bottle we produce is something we’re proud of. With the launch of our new vintage, this felt like the perfect time to take the next step for TEAKLE Wines.

The new look takes inspiration from our cellar door, with its striking barrel-shaped architecture. If you haven’t visited yet, now’s the time. We’re hosting cellar door open days on February 8 and 9 to celebrate, and we’d love for you to drop by.

On the wine front, we’ve already got something to toast to. Our 2024 TEAKLE Wines Sauvignon Blanc was awarded Best Sauvignon Blanc at the Winewise Small Vignerons Awards. It’s a huge milestone and a real testament to the quality of fruit we’re growing right here in Port Lincoln. Our winemaker Liz and vineyard manager Pete have been refining what we do, and it’s exciting to see the hard work pay off.

Looking ahead, sustainability is a priority. Our goal is to be a net zero carbon emitter by 2030. It’s not a simple task given our location, but it’s one we’re fully committed to. We’ve already made big moves, installing a 100-kilowatt solar system, increasing our rainwater catchment, and finding smarter ways to manage resources on-site.

This isn’t just about the environment. It’s about the future, for my family, our community, and generations to come.

While we’re refining our range and evolving as a brand, our vision remains unchanged. TEAKLE Wines is about showcasing the best of the Eyre Peninsula through our wines, our restaurant, and our role as a tourism destination. The region has so much to offer, from world-class seafood to breathtaking coastlines, and we want to be part of the reason people visit, return, and keep talking about it.

I’m excited for what’s next. We’re building something special here, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
